9 on the 9th: Sweetheart Shuffle RACE REPORT
athon, and I will always need the jogging bra, but THIS IS PROGRESS, PEOPLE!!Labels: 9 on the 9th, Race Report
Well done my dear. You're my idol.
I have to ask, what's a titan toothpick?
Our signature starter combines smoked chicken, Jack cheese, peppers and onions in hand-rolled, fried tortillas. Served with guacamole, sour cream, fresh salsa and spicy chipotle BBQ sauce.
You know, health food.
You ROCK - you not only did it, but you came BACK to do it!! I'm so glad you are feeling better and are back out there!! Congratulations!!
Derek is such a cutie isn't he. LOL @ Katie and no bra, I wish I could do that.
Titan toothpicks must have one now.
Thanks race director for letting me join in :-) When I got the comment about adjusting the race to suit me, I got all giddy telling the hubby. He looked at me like I was nutz.
I've also ran my 9 on the 9th today. Came in at 1:14:36. Link to http://journeytoendurance.blogspot.com/
Can't wait to read your race recap!
OK I need to GO to bed now so I can get up at 10am--LOL and run by noon...
Have a great weekend RD ! ! !

Time: 59:25
Pace: 6:36
I will be heading out in an hour for my nine-miler. I am excited and a little scared. I will update when I am done! :-)
Way to go on your run, that was awesome!!! Especially your pre-race meal, I must try that!
My run results on on my blog http://lilyontheroad.blogspot.com, if you want to check it out!
Thanks so much for "putting all this together".
Cheers,
Laurel (Lily)
The only way I could figure to report on 9 miles was to just take the average pace of my 14.11 mile run and extrapolate 9 miles. Doug left me in the dust but this was a really sweet run for me. Pace for 14.11 miles was 7:35.8; multiplied by 9 miles is 1:08:23 for the 9 on the 9th.
(BTW, that pace for 13.1 miles is almost 10 minutes faster than the cross-country half marathon I ran in September.)
My report is here
Bob
The race report is not yet up since I need to eat and find my glasses. I did a total of 18.4 miles today.
First 9: 2:09
Second 9: 2:15
I actually feel really really good right now. Race report to follow.

I'm hangin' in VIRUS-TOWN just trying to keep the lung butter off the furnature.
Thanks for being a very kind and generous race director! :-)
I finished in 1:50:27 and here is my race report link.

Thanks so much.
I broke off the last two miles of my run tonight. Here are the results for 9 miles 1:47:05 or an 11:53 pace. Thanks for reminding me. I was a bit out of it this past week and it slipped my mind. Thanks again. :)
Count me in at 1:33:49.
Thanks for checking up on me ;)

If you do a 3 on the 3rd or even a 6 on the 6th I'll be happy to join the fun . . . I'm a bit out of my desired fitness level and running routine right now. I will be training for a 10K this spring, though - and reading blogs like yours might just be the motivation I need to get back into the swing of distance running.
Thanks for sharing your passion!
