"ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HAS BECOME CLEAR TO US THROUGH WORKING WITH PEOPLE TRAINING FOR THE MARATHON IS THAT IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN A POSITIVE ATTITUDE ABOUT TRAINING AND RUNNING, IT IS NECESSARY TO DEVELOP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE ABOUT LIFE IN GENERAL" - The Non-Runner's Marathon Trainer.

With my Hub's encouragement, I read the Non-Runner's Marathon Trainer last year and began training for my first marathon. I found out that my feet can't quite hack the distance but I was able to complete a Half and have continued to run for a year now. The book had a big effect on me, hence the name Non-runner Nancy. I am constantly in a struggle to keep up the training, not let the positive changes slip and the name remains meaningful to me. I'm also in a constant battle to let the positive changes spill over into my life -- there's so much improvement to be made. Thanks to my Hub for helping me in all these areas and for starting this blog for me. It has turned into so much more than a place to record my progress. I've had a ball meeting and getting to know all of you!
