Announcing 10k on the 10th
It finally came to me what we need for our club. A virtual race of course. For those of you struggling with motivation and needing a carrot, get your club out, start beating on the bad attitude and the negative self-talk, and get this bad boy on your calendar.

Hmmm....I am tempted......okay, I'm in. Granted, it will be super slow since I probably won't have even run that distance prior to, but that is my first week of the "off the prescribed recovery runs" plan. What a great way to celebrate my healing!
Sweet! I have a 10K scheduled on the 11th, assuming this knee heals up (its feeling better!).

I'm diong a half marathon on May 11th - but since I know how flexible and AWESOME the Race Coordintor is - I will use the 10K split time as my time - but a day late :)
I guess that decides what distance I'm doing in this race here. All my buds signed up for the 5K but I kind of wanted to do the 10K.

Oh, you almost got me. Then I remembered it's April Fools. You silly girl, you thought you could trick us into running again, but you can't fool me.
The funny thing is all these suckers commenting are going to be waking up early on a Saturday to run while I'll be eating Fruit Loops and watching Cartoons.

I'm not signing up until race day. :) Will 10 miles on a bike count? I don't know if my feet will want to go that far by then.

Sweet! A great reason to be running again a couple weeks after the marathon, and a good way to set my pacing for non-virtual 10k training before I have to beat my coworkers. Thanks, RD Nancy!
If my knee is better by then I'm in for sure. If its not, I'll just have to do the 10k on my bike :)

Love the graphic! I'm in! My son's t-ball is going to take up all my April and May Saturday morning race times, so this virtual race will fit in nicely.

What a fun idea to have a virtual race. Love it! I might be able to do a 10K on the 10th of May--I'd ahve to start EARLY because it will be hot here in May. Who am I kidding? It already is!

I'll give a tentative yes. Will be less than a week after my first full marathon, but I should be able to handle 10k by then.

Dang it - I am standing up in a wedding that day! Ugh my May I tell you. I am going to try and make some time though.
I would love it-except I graduate from college that day-ok maybe I will get my 10K in that evening, who am I kidding.
Yes, I will attempt to do this. I just wish there was someway to remember have far and on what day we are to run. I forget easily.
I too have a half marathon on the 11th, however, my training schedule calls for an 8-15K "tuneup" race on the 9th. I'll either use that, or if I have a better 10K split for the half, I'll use that! (Assuming that's okay with the race director. I know what an ogre she is!)

oh! the 10th of MAY!!!! i thought it was April. no matter - i'm still in. and this is good - i'll be faster in May than i would have been in 6 days. phew!

I'm signed up for a 10K on the 11th... I'm assuming we can run anytime that weekend? If so, I'm there!
I want to say I'm in. i'm goning to start running again, so this will probly be the longest distance I will run since my injury, March 8.
I've never done a virtual, but I'll have my handy new Garmin too!!!
