"ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HAS BECOME CLEAR TO US THROUGH WORKING WITH PEOPLE TRAINING FOR THE MARATHON IS THAT IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN A POSITIVE ATTITUDE ABOUT TRAINING AND RUNNING, IT IS NECESSARY TO DEVELOP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE ABOUT LIFE IN GENERAL" - The Non-Runner's Marathon Trainer.

I'm a non-runner training for my first marathon! I have been dabbling in running and other types of self-improvement for a long time. I have always wanted to be a "runner" but I don't seem to keep up the positive changes long enough to build. My husband suggested THE NON-RUNNER'S MARATHON TRAINER for a set schedule of training and escalating mileage. By the way, I'm hoping for the positive changes to spill over into other areas, hence the quote. Thanks, Curtis, for your idea, for doing this with me, for your support...and for helping me set up this site to record how things go. I recently finished my first Half Marathon!!
